Article 38 of Indian constitution

Article 38 of Indian constitution says:

Article 38 (1) The State shall strive to promote the welfare of the people by securing and protecting as effectively as it may a social order in which justice, social, economic and political, shall inform all the institutions of the national life.

(2) The State shall, in particular, strive to minimise the inequalities in income, and endeavour to eliminate inequalities in status, facilities and opportunities, not only amongst individuals but also amongst groups of people residing in different areas or engaged in different vocations.

Article 38 of Indian constitution directs the government to promote the welfare of the people by securing the egalitarian social, economic and political justice.

As per this article the policy of the government should be such that it prevent the concentration of wealth to certain section of society.

By keeping in mind above provision of the constitution the government at different level has implemented various welfare schemes like affordable education, health care, food among others.
